Rising Quartet

The members of Rising – Nora Frisk (viola), Mary Kothman (violin), Elizabeth Start (cello) and Lisa Williams (violin) – are realizing a dream of performing in an all-female quartet and presenting a sampling of wide-ranging styles of music by women. The quartet’s purpose is to raise up works by women composers and continue to rise themselves to more programmatic challenges and opportunities.

This free performance highlights Women’s History Month and features works by Florence Price, Caroline Shaw and Elizabeth Start.
