Annual Report
As the Michigan Festival of Sacred Music has grown over the years, we find that many more people are becoming aware of us: locally, nationally, and internationally. We are grateful for our local support and thank the many area organizations with which we collaborate, from schools to churches to other arts and human-services organizations. They help us with everything from venue space, to opportunities for outreach, to artistic partnerships. As we continue to plan and present events, we continue to enjoy more connections with and within our rich, vibrant community.
The Michigan Festival of Sacred Music began in 2001 by presenting biennial festivals in odd-numbered years, introducing single non-Festival-year events in 2004. The organization operated on a two-year budget through 2017. After MFSM began presenting annual festivals in 2016, it transitioned to an annual budget in 2018.
