Tendrils

We are proud to partner with Kalamazoo’s amazing modern dance organization Wellspring for a special performance of Tendrils, a work featuring Aurora & Antheia, a trio that fosters the beauty of melodic and rhythmic sound, texture, and in-the-moment improvisations. All three members of the ensemble – Cori Somers, Laurie Jarski and Carolyn Koebel – have also spent decades studying many different styles of music, drawing from musical genres such as folk, jazz, classical, rock, eastern European, Asian, Indian, African and many more.

There will be three performances of Tendrils:

• Friday, November 20 at 7:30 PM – Pre-show event at 6:00 PM, post-concert talkback
• Saturday, November 21 at 7:30 PM
• Sunday, November 22 at 2:00 PM

Founded in 1981 by Cori Terry, Wellspring continues a long legacy as a modern dance producer, presenter and educator. The company and its members’ highly respected reputations are evidenced by regular invitations to perform at dance festivals and events around the country.

Please note: Tickets for these performances will be sold through Wellspring at wellspring.ludus.com. Admission is not included in our Festival Pass; thanks to the generosity of Wellspring, a discount code has been made available to Festival Pass holders.
